Domestic Shipping in the United States

For most of the items purchased from the Chimporium, we use the following shipping fee schedule:

Some items are not included in the calculations for shipping and handling, but may have separate handling or printing charges. For example, gift certificates have a flat $0.50 shipping and handling charge to cover printing and postage. Art prints ship separately from all other merchandise. We use Fed Ex 2nd day service. Please add the $17.00 shipping and handling cost to your cart when you order.

International Shipping

Shipping calculated in the shopping cart is for domestic U.S. shipping costs only. All international orders are shipped on a case-by-case basis and shoppers are responsible for paying the actual cost of shipping plus any applicable handling charges. Please be advised that this amount may change from the time we are given a quote, to the time the item is shipped (extra fuel charges for example may apply). When we receive your international order, we will contact you by e-mail with the estimated shipping cost. You will also be responsible for any and all customs charges that either the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute or Friends of Washoe incur for your order. You must agree that you will be responsible for the full cost of the shipping prior to the item(s) being shipped. You will be asked to agree to the terms via email.

Magnets are considered "dangerous goods" in some countries and we may not be able to ship them to some overseas locations.

Sales Taxes

All orders that ship to destinations outside of the State of Washington will be subect to sales tax at the current Ellensburg, Washington rate.

Effective July 1, 2008, any order shipping within the State of Washington will be charged the current sales tax rate for the recipients' location.
