The family of chimpanzees at the Chimpanzee and Human Communication Institute routinely paint, color with crayons, and draw with colored pencils--all art supplies provided provided by their human caregivers as part of the chimpanzees' daily enrichment.
The chimpanzees talk about their art with their human caregivers, frequently naming their works, as with RED BERRY, GO CAR, TOOTHBRUSH, and BIRD below. Often times, we can show the same painting to one of the chimpanzees even months later, and they will give us the same name for it.
Each piece of chimpanzee art offered through this store is numbered, and limited to 350 prints.
Art prints will appear as a separate charge from other Chimporium merchandise on your your credit card bill. |
